Welcome, dweller. After several months of working on this, today we’re officially opening Vault 76 Builds to the entire community.
A website built primarily to create and share builds for Fallout 76. But along the way, more and more features were added, so here’s a quick overview of everything you’ll find inside:
Builds are at the core
You can put together a complete build: SPECIAL, perk cards, legendary perks, mutations, weapons (with mods and legendary effects), armor (with underarmor, mods and legendary effects), backpacks, and power armor.
You can also write your own how to play section with proper formatted text, embed YouTube videos, and use one of the features I’m most proud of: you can add direct references such as Bandolier2BandolierBallistic weapon ammo weighs 90% less., Canned coffeeDRINKCanned coffeeSuper fast AP regen, and Ammo FactoryAmmo FactoryProduce 150% more rounds when crafting ammunition. to perks, weapons, mods, food, drinks, and many other things from the game directly inside your text. Hovering over them shows you the details in whichever language you’re viewing the site in.
You can also tag your build by role (Commando, Rifleman / Archer, Shotguns...), by tags (Low Health, Stealth, Farming / XP, V.A.T.S. / Criticals...), and choose whether it’s for a human or a ghoul. Publish it as a draft, public, private, or share it through a link so only the people you choose can access it.
Builds for the whole community
All public builds are available in an archive where you can filter them and sort them by likes or most recent. You can like or save your favorite builds so you can easily come back to them later. If a game patch changes something a build relies on, it will automatically be marked as outdated to notify the author.
Every player has their own profile with their builds, achievements (up to 3 visible badges), and you can follow other users to get notified whenever they publish something new.
RobCo Terminal
A retro terminal on the homepage featuring an AI assistant that runs locally in your own browser, not on a server. You can ask it about public builds, the game catalog, guides, news, or nuclear launch codes. It only works on PC with WebGPU, and it’s still in beta, so things may break. It’s more of an experiment than a finished feature, but it’s one I’m especially fond of.
Guides, news, and Appalachia
There’s also a section for Fallout 76 guides and news, weekly nuclear launch codes (Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie), and an Appalachia event calendar showing what’s currently active, what’s coming up, and what has already ended.
One of the reasons I started this project was because I wanted to bring the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking communities a little closer together. The website is available in both Spanish and English, but it hasn’t just been translated for the sake of it: together with several friends, we’ve manually reviewed perk cards, weapons, and descriptions, trying to make sure the terminology is accurate in both languages.
That said, we know it’s not perfect yet, especially when it comes to weapon and armor mods. If you spot anything that looks wrong, there’s a submit corrections button at the bottom of the website. I’ll be keeping an eye on your reports and fixing things as they come in.
This is just the beginning
I have plenty of ideas for improving the website, but before I start building them, I’d rather see how you all respond to what’s already here. So this is just the beginning: give the site a try, put together a build, and let me know what you think.
Thanks for being here from day one.
